    Walther PPS M2 RECALL

Looks as though the account that were posted on the forums about these guns going off when dropped are confirmed, mine is within the serial number range so it will be going back to mother ship for TLC.

Just when I stated how reliable mine were. Well in fairness I was specifically talking about Gen 1 from experience but still, insert foot to mouth in 3, 2, 1...

I liked mine, but never could get warmed up to it. I traded it in October 2016, not sure what happened to it. Based on the S/N of mine, it is/was affected by the recall.

It was a good little gun, accurate and reliable. It was not lefty friendly. Twice, if I recall correctly, I pressed slightly against the outer mag catch area and the mag released ever so slightly. Which for a self-defence gun, is not a huge bonus feature.

Props to Walther for initiating the recall and getting these pistols fixed.

I've not been following Walther for a few years, what exactly is the issue?

I think this is the same recall Walther posted about 6 months ago or so. I sent mine back then and it was fixed in 1 week and back to me. I didn't think it was a big deal. I'll have the RMSc version. I love everything about it but where the slide release lever is.

You are correct, just wanted to give people a heads up because I literally just saw this myself on Walther forum... only on the chance I had a question I was looking for there.

But safety issues are never a bad reminder. Walther took care of my wife's quickly and painlessly.

I had mine sent in and it was shipped back and ready to be picked up within two weeks. From the end-user perspective, Walther seemed to have handled it well.

Yeah, thanks... I've been away from the forums for quite a while... life and all. Sorry for the redundant thread.
