    Streamlight Rail Mount Lights

I currently have an Streamlight RM 2 - 625 lumen, 22,000 candela. However the SL RM HL- X 1000 lumen 27,000 candela keeps calling my name. The HL- X seems huge. It’s .5” longer, the bezel is .250 wider, and it’s an ounce heavier. Is the added size worth the extra 375 lumens? I am not interest in any other lights. I’m just asking about these 2 specific lights and the lumens to weight trade off.

Gun is an 11.5” AR pistol with a 12” handguard. Use is just normal everyday citizen shit, HD, classes, range, and the occasional coyote extermination.

Here are pics of the HL-X mounted to MOE carbine handguard with the MOE scout mount. Hope they are helpful.

    The HLX is noticeably brighter.

The HLX isn’t small, but it’s awesome. I use a Proctor mount to tuck it as close as possible to the rail.

Thanks for the input. Not a small light for sure but it’s bright and with the proper mount it definitely works!
