I’ve never tried it with a P30, but it’s incredibly easy to remove the guts of the lockout device on a P2000. It also looks like you can order inserts with and without the lockout:

    “Lockout Device” #226222 for $14

    Vs.

    “Lockout Insert” #223521 for $7
    https://www.midwestgunworks.com/page/mgwi/prod/223521

The USP line also has lock and lockless inserts.

I’ve never heard of any issues with HK lockouts and have no reason to think it could be a problem, but I also would never use the lockout, and figure that if it’s there, it has a greater than 0% chance of causing issues, while if it’s not, the odds drop to exactly zero, so it’s cheap insurance in my mind.

Awesome, that's good to know! I agree with your assessment 100%, and since we have no need for those locks I will replace that part. But since the risk is so low, I'm willing to wait till I need to order some other parts and tack it onto the order at that time. It's really too bad that option isn't available for the S&W revolvers

A DA/SA the size and weight of a G19... wait, I just want a px4 cc even though I need to stock up on magazines and holsters for another platform like I need another donut.

The ability to trade in my Gen 3 Glocks for Gen 5 like I trade in my iPhone every few years

Joking aside, I’d love to see S&W without locks again. Looking forward to seeing Trijicon’s new pistol dot. Maybe someday, the Aimpoint will actually be available. lol

    -Glock 35.7 - G35 in .357 sig with a solid top slide

-"Super Vel pistol" - XL length double stack pistol that can feed 7.62x25, 9x23 winchester, .22 TCM Sptizer, etc.

-CX4 Storm style, mag in grip PCC that takes Glock mags.

Or the G45, or the VP9, or the P30, or any number of other short slide, long grip polymer 9mms on the market right now...
