Picked mine up today. It’s a 64-7 with a lanyard loop, very much like the one shown in the ad photo.

Needs a little cleaning, but the lockup is tight, timing is correct, and the trigger is decent.

This is my first time owning a 3” K frame, and I get why people in the know think so highly of them. The balance is just superb, IMHO.

One unfortunate side note, I took delivery of a Milt Sparks holster for a 2” gun just a couple of weeks ago. I’m now wishing I’d have ordered it for a 3”

Just picked up mine. Mostly happy except the grip screw rotates but doesn’t actually come out. Threw some thread locker on the head and will try tomorrow. Open to suggestions.

Looking opposite the screw head side, is the ferrule turning with the screw, or the shaft spinning in the ferrule? Or is nothing turning?

Shaft is turning. Can you confirm the only thread is on the grip itself?

Likely means the threads are stripped off. Try pushing on the shaft with a small punch, or pry the grips apart while turning the screw.

Yes. Small metal threaded insert molded into the left side grip panel.

ETA: actually not an insert, but a metal reinforcing plate molded inside the stock, which includes a threaded hole.

To confirm, the only thing I can screw up is the grip?

    (VZ arrive tomorrow)

The screw isn’t threaded/attached to anything else other than the opposite side grip panel.

I won’t speculate on what either of us are capable of screwing up.

    This view may help:

BTW, mine appears to have never been lubricated after leaving the factory.

I love the VZ options for smiths. Post pics when you get them!
