Zimmerman gets probation after threat to feed private investigator to alligator

George Zimmerman, the Florida man acquitted in the 2012 shooting death of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin, was sentenced to 12 months of probation after he pleaded no contest on a misdemeanor stalking charge for accusations that he threatened to feed a private investigator to an alligator. ABC News affiliate WFTV 9 reports that Zimmerman pleaded no contest in absentia, meaning that he was never required to show up at the courthouse. During his 12-month probation period, he will be legally barred from owning a firearm.

Zimmerman suing Martin family, their attorneys, and the prosecutors, for $100M

George Zimmerman, the man acquitted of killing unarmed black teen Trayvon Martin in 2012, is now suing the boy’s family, their attorneys and the prosecutors for damages in excess of $100 million. Zimmerman’s attorney, Boca Raton-based Larry Klayman, a former federal prosecutor, said the lawsuit was filed Wednesday afternoon in Polk County because that’s where Zimmerman lives. The lawsuit alleges “malicious prosecution” by prosecutors, defamation by both Martin’s defense attorney and a book publishing company, and a “civil conspiracy” by Martin’s family and lawyer “to put on a false witness with a made-to-order false storyline to try to fraudulently create probable cause to” get a conviction.

Regardless of anyone's stance on Trump, Obama's DOJ set us back decades imho. (And it wasn't just his DOJ but his own comments, offered not only without evidence, but in contradiction of the evidence.)

And if you look around anywhere today, the proof is in the pudding. It's a sad state of affairs.
There's nothing civil about this war.

If he can prove all of this in court, $100M is insufficient compensation.

Wait! If that were true, Obama could no longer claim that there were no scandals during his administration.

If he can prove that in court I would like to see some federal civil rights prosecutions.
