    3.26 barrel

    HK P2000sk. Barrel length is 3.26. What would be a good choice for ammo in 9mm?

    I use Speer Gold Dots, 124gr +P. My SK loves this round.

    Anything that works in a 4" or 5" barrel. 9mms don't really lose much velocity.

    Check out Doc's chart on duty ammo and just pick one.

    Check out the entire terminal ballistics forum over at M4c;

    Lots of info on various tests thoughout the forum, and a sticky on duty ammo towards the top of the forum.

    OK thanks I will look into this info. I always thought that slow moving projectiles were not affected by loss of length as much as fast projectiles.
    This info does not address shorter barrel results.

    Speer has some Gold Dot's specifically for "short barrels" but I've never really seen any documentation, reviews ,or comparisons as to how it compares to the "normal" Gold Dots.

    Speer website specifies a 3.5" barrel at 124gr p+ for 9mm short barrel ammo.
    I talked to a Speer LE rep and he told me -10% on the stated velocity from the standard barrel length in any caliber should provide good results.
