I have found that for K-frame or larger, I prefer either an exposed backstrap or a backstrap covered by only thin rubber that does not significantly change the shape of the backstrap. For my medium sized hands, this allows me to grip the gun so the central axis of the barrel is in line with the central axis of my forearm when viewed from the top, while still getting the right amount of finger on the trigger. This forearm/barrel alignment makes a straight back trigger squeeze easier to perform.

A set of Grippers on my 4" 64-5 and the handgun simply doesn't move from my hands in controlled pairs even with Buffalo Bore 158 +P SWCHPs.
I like those as well but after I saw the 3" M66 in the Karl Sokol thread I knew I had to try the compact pros. Even though I had to modify my square butt m64. I am very happy with them. More so than with my VZ grips on my m19.

Absolutely no slipping with heavy reloads.

I have the Compac Pro on my RB 3" 65 and while it's perfect if all I do is shoot SHO, it's waaaaay too small for two handed shooting. I have hardly any grip surface left exposed for my left hand. For that reason I ordered a K frame RB Gripper from Brownells last night.

The weird thing is that I don't have mongo hands, but I can't shoot handguns with thin skinny grips.

The RB Pachs I have are the older ones that cover the backstrap and are a little too long to the trigger face for me. The ones y'all are referring to might be another option if I don't want to mess with ordering another Tyler T.

I still have a couple of sets around here somewhere.

I did have to re-learn the grip part of the draw as you can't put your hand wherever on the grip and expect it to slide easily to the correct place, like you can with wood.

Perhaps the best of both worlds?

NYPD finally went to autos for new officers in 1994. They were supposed to use 10 round mags but went with full 15 round capacity at the last minute. The initial duty ammo was Winchester USA white box 115 FMJ. They switched to 124 grain +P gold dots 2 or 3 years later after a few “shoot throughs” and other negative outcomes related to the FMJ.

I still regret not buying a brand new twin to yours at my LGS a long time ago. I passed because it was only a .38
