He assumed she'd be easy to "manhandle" right? If he was jumping a comparably fit looking male he'd apply weapons most likely. That contrast always strikes me as one reason why even a knife is so effective for a female at close quarters.
She did a great job all the way around. I bet she gave some thought to her draw afterwards.
