I'm really picky about ball caps, and wouldn't wear any of the ones posted so far. I like low profile stretchy hats without a hard knob on top. All hats need to be machine washable. Here are the hats I use:

Oakley SI Cap (my current favorite). I have a few of these.

Kryptec Tactical Hat. This one isn't stretchy, but is adjustable enough for me to put a fleece watch cap under it if it's cold. Really great hat.

Arcteryx Baller Ass Cap. Good hat, but sweat bleached the color out at the front so it looks nasty.

Just ordered this hat, but it hasn't arrived:

Rothcos and 10 other similar brands sit so low they push into my ears. Other hats have brims that flatten out over time and constantly need to be re-bent (which then makes the fabric of the dome scrunch and warp and look goofy). Then there's the dinky buttons on the top that need pliers to correct if there's no velcro tab. There are also ones with no support for the front (floppy hats), or ones with solid fabric that looks like a wall on the forehead (70s trucker hats).
Lack of variety in hats sizes plagues me as well, but I have a big head so I’m at the opposite end of the spectrum.

This thread reminds me of a dear friend that’s been gone nearly 9 years now. I met him at the local USPSA matches. He used to wear a black baseball cap with hot pink lettering. I used to call it the porn hat, due to its coloring. It was actually from Fred’s Gun Emporium from Texas. One day he says I have a present for you, and he pulls out a new in wrap identical hat. Well not only was it a cool gesture since I fancied the design, but it was the best fitting hat I ever owned. Lots of room for my big noggin. I still have the hat, though it’s tattered and, more brown in color from sun fading. Any other hat in that condition would have hit the trash by now.

Since we're updating this and reviving an old thread...allow me to contribute.

I don't know what's been going on with Rogue American. I'm still super happy with the ball cap I bought from them and it's pretty much my constant companion. But, they used to have a great selection of fairly low-vis hats, like the one I mentioned. Recently, they haven't had anything in the way of hats, that isn't purple. I'd check their site regularly for new stock, as it looks like they may have some new things work a look.

I don't know how many of y'all wear glasses (I do, I'm blind AF, as the kids say). For anybody who wears glasses OR spends lotsa time wearing sunglasses, you might take a look at hats by Notch Gear ( https://www.notchgear.com ). The company is veteran owned. They have a nice selection of ball caps in both fitted and adjustable (velcro). I went to rifle school in Wytheville, VA and one of the instructors clued me in to Notch Gear hats, in addition to all the other learning & wisdom he imparted.

    You try! You might like!

    Cheers, y'all.

The Forager hat is excellent. A little pricey, but very well thought out. It’s mesh lined, has holes for sunglasses on top, and has a seam in the bill so the hat can fold in half. The adjustment is Velcro free.

@Clusterfrack, @randyho...what size hats do you normally wear and what size Oakley did you order? I was all set to try one of these, but the reviews on Oakley's site were filled with complaints about too small/too big.
