    Optics ready DA/SA?

Does anyone make a optics ready da/sa pistol? I currently carry a PX4CC and want to check out mrds but don’t want to mill my slides just yet.

The first factory optics ready pistol was the FNX-45 Tactical. Your only other option is probably the SIG choices. Or you can just try it with a dovetail mount, so no modification needed, and you get a very good approximation of the shooting characteristics of a slide-mounted RDS.

The Sig is cut for the Romeo 1 and that doesn’t interest me.

    A dovetail mount isn’t a terrible idea.

The romeo cut can be modified for other RDS.

ETA. Appears they don’t make one for the PX4 line.

Check out EGW guns. Mount their plate to the rear sight dove tail. The downside that it sits awkwardly high so indexing the gun takes some significant adjustment. The upside is it’s only 50 or so bucks and doesn’t require you to buy a new gun to test the concept.

The Romeo 2 is supposed to have the same footprint as the DPP. I know that still falls into 'gamer' category optics, but getting more optics on the same footprint is beneficial.

If you’re anywhere close to Dayton and want to try one out, PM me. We can head to the range and you can run my CZ P07/RMR to see what you think before you sink that kinda money into it.
