    G19 w/RMR07 at high ready:

    1: 6 shots, 6hits
    2: 7 shots, 7 hits
    3: 9 shots, 2 over par, 7 hits
    4: 8 shots, 1 over par, 7 hits
    5: 7 shots, 7 hits

Started by running all three Defoor tests, then the DOW. Best clean FAST was 5.54 sec. 500 pt aggregate was 477-14x. The replacement trigger bar appears to have cured all the stiff, gritty trigger issues that I reported on the last DOW...

    Start position: compressed high ready

    String 1: 6 shots, 1 hit (4 out, 1 OT)
    String 2: 4 shots, 3 hits
    String 3: 4 shots, 2 hits
    String 4: 4 shots, 3 hits
    String 5: 5 shots, 4 hits

After that first string going so poorly, I slowed down a lot for the subsequent strings and never got comfortable to push myself again. I also found that I wasn't prepping the trigger enough on the press out, therefore my shots weren't breaking at extension.

    • Choice of ready position: Low ready
    • Number of shots fired and number of hits for each rep.
      1. 1
      2. 1 (-1)
      3. 1 (plus one late at 2.13 sec)
      4. 2 (plus one late at 2.57 sec)
      5. 1 (plus one late at 2.19 sec)

So a couple of things about this drill: First, I shot it under the rules as listed. In prior weeks I have shortened the distance and/or increased the par time. This week, I felt comfortable enough to give it a go. And I was happy with the accuracy. The quantity of shots down range was very slow. I think this was primarily due to the long time it is taking me to get a sight picture. Sounds like something to practice in dry fire.

All in all, a good drill. Thanks.

Tried, but my shot timer app couldn't keep up with my shots-it stopped counting after 3. Anyone else use the IPSC shot timer on Android?

Dumb me didnt pay attention to start position. Did all from a draw
String 1: 6 shots, all hit
String 2: 6 shots, stopped myself early, seemed to just want to shoot 6
String 3: 6 shots, same as above, very frustrating
String 4: 7 shots, all hits, last shot 1.99
String 5: 6 shots, all hits, noticeable pause at round 3. heard the beep just as I was ready to try for 7

going to run this again, even though I know I can't submit it to this thread. But this time I will do from ready position.
