Whatever I carry or have to train others on is what I shoot.

To be honest I don't find it fun to bring more than a couple guns to the range at any given time and I feel guilty for wasting time and ammo if I'm not somehow improving my own skill.

I have plenty of guns, but to be honest they mostly live in my safe unless I'm teaching someone or testing something.

Ouch those are my toes you are stepping on. I am working on reducing and focusing.

As for me my fun gun is either a 34 or a 4" 586. Both make me feel like I am a better shot than I am.

Definitely don't bring more than two guns at a time to play with... and that is if you have enough time and ammo to make the practice worthwhile with each one.

Otherwise, a duplicate of what you carry, or a larger version of same.

My favorite is actually my EDC, a Roland Special. I didn’t like the Gen 4 Glock until I got it heavily modified though.

Otherwise, 9mm 1911. If I modified it a little bit, including a red dot, I doubt I’d even mention the Glock in a thread like this.

My favorite range gun is my 1911. But, my 1911 is chambered in 45 ACP, it’s heavy, low on capacity, and it doesn’t get carried. Therefore it’s a safe queen unless I have extra time to shoot it.

My P30’s get shot, carried, and loved.

Alloy-framed Lightweight Commander 9mm for carry.

Steel-framed Combat Commander 9mm for training/practice. Fun to shoot.

Shoot the .45 once in a while to stay in practice with it. Also fun to shoot.

Bedside gun is a railed Commander .45 with light mounted.

My 642 after 75 rounds of wadcutters or 10 rounds of anything else or my Glock 43 after 100.
