CAT issues described are neither invalid nor unknown prior to v7. If using a CAT, use a v7. Use a dedicated trainer for CATs, no exceptions.
Current v4 of the SOFTT-W is outstanding. Dedicated trainer is a best practice, but not required to preserve reliability.
Use of all other TQ variants come with caveats and conditions.

An awful lot of TQ "training" sucks, esp if it involves ppt and CBTs. Expect poor retention. Revisit the skill often with lots of hands-on manipulations and drills in situ.
