CZ's are indeed addictive. Shadows especially. (1 and 2 versions).

I am apparently not in the majority here, as I have large, relatively thin hands (size 12 glove), but I prefer THIN LOK Bogies on my Shadow pistols, as well as on a non-Shadow CZ75 SP-01model.

You might want to see if you can try a couple of set-ups if possible before making a purchase.

Whatever style you go with, LOK grips are the shizzle.

Oh yeah . . . . . . run that baby "wet" and lubricate frequently. As long as your COAL is okay for your specific pistol, it should run like the aforementioned assaulted primate.

Sure are. Getting ready to head out to a match with mine.

Not what Wondering Beard was talking about, but manually lowering the hammer can in fact be done safely. An example of when you'd need to do that is every single person using a Shadow 2 in USPSA production (which is a lot). Rules state that you must start the course of fine in Double Action, and there's no decocker on the S2, so... manual de-cock it is. I know of at least 3 or 4 techniques for doing it safely.
This is true...on the range. Manually decocking my 75Bs is the reason I retired them from carry duty. I did it reluctantly since they’re 100% reliable and the most accurate bottomfeeders I own. Yeah, I know it’s an apples/oranges comparison.

Congrats on buying the best gun I've ever owned. I have 3 of them. 32000 rounds and at least 10x that in dryfire on my practice S2, which is an early model. No broken frame.

Here's my parts list if you want to improve your gun:
    Instructions:

    11.5# Main Spring:

Floating Trigger Pin (get an extra one)

Reduced power trigger spring (get an extra one)

Punch to remove OEM trigger pin (be CAREFUL! Go super slow so you don’t bugger your frame.)

11# Recoil Spring (you’ll need plenty of these)

Rami FP Spring (get an extra one)
    https://czcustom.com/cz-parts-all/fi...in-spring.html

Extended Firing Pin (get an extra one)
    https://cajungunworks.com/product/ex...ed-firing-pin/

Lok Bogies grips. I use a regular on the left and a slim on the right. I have medium hands. (Make sure to order grip screws. Also be careful not to strip the holes in your frame. That’s a common way to ruin CZ frames.)

    Mec-Gar CZ 75 B 9mm 17rd Magazine

    10rd mags

    Springer Precision baseplates

Lucas grease & oil. Using grease on the slide stop rod apparently greatly reduces wear on this part. I have 32000 rounds on one slide stop, and it's still going.

    New grips and decent holster

    Hi lads!

I finally went for some plastic grips from turkey, they’re slightly thicker than the factory ones and provide a firm grip, very glad they fit, considering it was a 20 euro blind eBay purchase. I also went on with a leather holster that after two days took the shape of the pistol. Very glad and thanks a lot for all your comments

If one were to buy a "fun" gun. Should one go shadow 2 or 9mm 1911?

Only you can answer that. Anything I would recommend would be what I like. I have no idea what you like.

I really like my Shadow-2 and also everyone in our range who get to shoot it.

Yes this are Lok grips (and Mag release button) with the palm swell and I like them as well.

I had a Dan Wesson Valor with custom work by Dave Severns. IMO, the Shadow2 is a better gun in every way.
