    International handgun leather closing shop.

Over one month ago I placed an order with IHL. Today, I received an email from the owner advising of his retirement and the cancellation of my order. Instead of leaving me hanging for over a month, the classier move would have been to stop taking orders, fill the backlog and retire. If you have a pending order with IHL, it's not coming.

And his website is still fully functional and allows you to buy stuff.

How difficult would it be to shut off the shopping cart and add a heading/notice to it?

I know nothing about the guy or company, but it seems to have the signs of somebody abruptly retiring maybe because they have to. A few years ago I had an issue that almost put my dick in the dirt and I wasnt attending to business. If the guy is a sole proprietor he might not have anybody to take up the slack.

Again, this is just speculation on my part, I know nothing.

I’ve bought several holsters from IHL. They were good quality at decent prices but were never delivered when promised. I stopped ordering from them several years ago. It wasn’t worth the aggravation.
The first indication a bad guy should have that I'm dangerous is when his
disembodied soul is looking down at his own corpse wondering what happened.

    One and the same.

IHL was my primary leather source for a long time. I understand retiring since I recently did it myself, but letting customers know beforehand would have been a nice courtesy.

I have purchased from Ian and was looking at a new holster. I retired last July and gave the company I was working for a years notice of my plans. They still didn't look for my replacement until after I left. Thanks for the heads up!
