Question Drank the LPVO koolaid. Need short eye relief options.

Ok. I gave LPVO another shot. (PA Raptor 1-6 FFP) I liked it. No noticeable loss in speed and my hits on target made me a believer. The problem is eye relief. I’m running an AK. You can only get an optic so far forward without having to use an AR type cantilever mount. That gets too high over bore.

What options exist with short eye relief that I should consider?

I shared a range with a dude that had an SLR-101S set up with one of the RS regulate full-length two piece rails, and he mounted a 1-6x PA optic all the way forward on that mount - the upper section of the RS rail was as forward as it could get without hitting the rear sight leaf, the front ring was on the most forward possible notch in the M1913 rail, and the adjustment turrets were right up against that front ring. He said it took him some time to find rings that were exactly the right height to just clear the rear sight leaf.

I am sorry that I don't recall what rings those were.

Even with the Warsaw length stock, I had no issues with eye relief. He wanted to try my AMD-65 so we let each other run a mag through our rifles. YMMV of course.
