John Taffin article on the .357 Magnum

Part 1 of 3, not sure if the other 2 parts are going to be in consecutive issues or what.

I couldn't open it with my phone, but I could with a laptop.

    This should fix that.

    Edited to add: It do!

If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

    Nice article!

JT helped me put together this .357 years back:

It had originally come with a longer barrel and different grip frame. Mr. Taffin gave me the barrel and frame shown on the gun, and showed me how to swap frames.

Now it is my "Taffin gun".

Externally it looks rough, internally it is G2G and shoots straight.

While nowhere near as cool as a registered magnum, it is still a fun little piece, and due to the backstory, one that I will not get rid of.

Depends on your definition of cool. Not only does it have the BTDT look, but you can also use it without hearing the wailing and gnashing of collector teeth every time you pull the trigger. And the backstory is icing on the cake.

Interesting he's not aware of the pre-Match Champion half-lug GP100s, and no mention of the 5-inch Lipsey's specials. But I do like how his six-inch GP gets it done with the Gold Dots!
