Hamilton in the pits six times. Including that disastrous 50-second stop after he hit the wall, just in front of Leclerc’s beached Ferrari.

It was an odd day in F1.

That 5-second penalty on Hamilton for entering the pit on the wrong side of the bollard after crashing, had me absolutely fuming. They five him a penalty for that, but Ferrari gets a slap on the wrist fine for unsafe release of Leclerc that nearly caused an accident on pit road. And accident in the pits is far more dangerous than Hamilton driving on the wrong side of a fucking cone, when there is no other traffic.

It’s like a cop ticketing you for crossing the solid white line, but not ticketing the guy who cut four people off to cross a double yellow...fucking bullshit.

Vettel was brilliant though. That hurts to say, because Ferrari can eat a dick, in my opinion, but that doesn’t change a brilliant race for him. From 20th to 2nd!

Hamilton, secures the drivers championship. No surprise.

The season finally gets interesting with Ferrari becoming competitive. Crashstappen is back, after a half season of success Verstappen threw in the towel on his new self.

2020 could be interesting with serious competition against Mercedes.
Whether you think you can or you can't, you're probably right.

My first F1 race was the USGP at Indy, 2001. The screaming V-10s! Funny, I just found my cellphone from that time period and I had recorded the cars during practice.

I remember hearing Rubens engine note change around Indy T2 where we sat for the race.

That race weekend was also 2.5 weeks after 9/11. LAX was deserted and I imagine thats how it feels flying now.
