Game face.
Game face.
^^^^ And trigger discipline!
There's nothing civil about this war.
Pretty big day for me. Took my 4-year old flying in the family airplane for the first time. She’s been flying with me since she was a baby, but this was her first time in the biplane that was built by her granddad and great-granddad. She was, as always, fearless and totally loved it.
Not sure if this should go here or in the "brag" thread:
Older Offspring just got accepted to her first-choice college.

From Older Offspring after a discussion of coffee:
"If it doesn't come from the Kaffa province of Ethiopia, it's just hot roasted-bean juice."
My 2 year old ran his first full mile the other day
These boys are quickly becoming fine young men. 5 and 7. They gathered all the firewood, built the fire, and lit it. We spent 2 nights. 4th trip for the 7 y/o, 2nd for the 5 y/o. The pic shows him with flint/steel and dryer lint. He got the spark to happen a couple times, but never could quite get enough for it to catch. After about 20 min and at my insistence trying to preserve the fun and keep him from getting frustrated we switched to matches and he had it lit on the second match. Pass it on!
And of course enjoying camp-cooked eggs and bacon the first morning:

I’m about to surprise my 9 year old with this. I can’t wait to see his face when he sees it! He has been riding a 50cc for a year now and has been dying for “something faster” for about 10 months!
