She'll be 8 weeks old tomorrow:
Those are my granddad's Air Corps wings from WW2, my dad's first logbook, and my goggles. Maybe she'll be a 4th generation aviator.
My 3 year old told me he wanted to go outside and shoot. After spending a frustrating morning with an old Daisy Powerline multi-pump BB/Pellet thing I had laying around, I went to Wal-Mart during his nap and surprised him with a Daisy Buck when he woke up. He was ecstatic and insisted on doing it "all by himself." The plate was at about 10 feet and every hit on paper was a celebration. Of course we're working on muzzle and trigger discipline in addition to the fundamentals of shooting, but taking it at his speed and keeping it fun. He has as much fun loading the gun as he does shooting it.
And this carpenter bee is his first kill:

got my youngest to the range this weekend. I bought him his own 10/22 for Christmas, but never got around to getting sites installed and swapping stocks, so he borrowed his sister's rifle
Just over two months, so no range trips yet. She does have a pink Daisey BB gun awaiting her use already though.
