Screen shot from the Vickers video. It looks like if you make the cuts straight rather than having any taper there might be something to work with. I know Langdon mentioned something about looking for someone to make custom slides on the P&S da/sa podcast but he didn’t get anymore specific than that.

Nice!
I’ve got some time as my eyes begin to age to let this idea mature.
I’d love to be able to keep using a 92 when I want to move to a RDS.
It sure wouldn't be hard for Beretta to make the top of the 92 slide like that 93R is. Similar to a frame w/ or w/o a rail. While they are at it they could make the flat taller by half the distance the firing pin block sticks up and modify the block itself to get the other half.
There have been RMR mounts that work with the stock rear sight dovetail on the 92 Series. I'm not sure if that's been mentioned before, but they've been around for a while.
Going back a few posts regarding G10 wraparound grips:
These are just some quick pics I took after tearing into the box this afternoon:
.
I happened upon an Italian video last week, with JJ Racaza and a couple of Beretta shooters, they had the optic on a mount attached to the rail.
Here's one, I'm not sure it's the same one I saw, but beginning around the 2:45 mark
