    Good quality ratchet straps?

Sign of the times I suppose, but apparent,y you can’t just go buy any old ratchet straps at Home Depot anymore and expect them to keep your golf cart tied down on your trailer.

The same straps that never have any trouble on plywood in the bed of the truck are NOT meant to be tying down heavier loads, apparently.

Any of you guys have a link to a known-good ratchet strap that you use to tie down heavy loads like this?

Unless your cart has built in anchor points I would use wheel lassos.

If you have a roof and windshield it might be a good idea to take them off or keep the speed under 55.
Whether you think you can or you can't, you're probably right.

Mac’s. Don’t hesitate....just get em. I tow competition cars a lot, and have used the cheap ones. Mac’s are superior. Their site has lots of options, too, depending on what you need.

thanks. Even these would probably be an improvement/enough for my purpose.

Also thinking about these. I need to get the cart on the trailer when I'm not in a hurry to leave and see what my options might be.

Before leaving NY Flying J, built a truck fuel mall near us, they had lots of what i would consider heavier duty ratchet straps. Maybe not a specific brand for you but a place to shop when out on the road.

this is the trailer I have. One challenge I'm facing is that there are limited attachment points, assuming I can only tie down to the stake pockets. If I can use a flat hook to attach anywhere along the lip on either side, I get a lot more flexibility. I'm hoping/trying not to have to screw tie-downs into the deck, but it might be looking that way.

It's been a while but I remember being told that all ratchet straps are suspect. That if you're really worried about securing the load, that "cam buckle" aka friction tie downs are preferred.

I never secure any vehicular load with anything but proper load binding chains and binders.

These are Transport Grade 70 (Domestic, not China) Binder Chains- 3/8" - SWL 6600 lbs, bound with Quickbinder Folding Handle Ratchet Load Binder for 5/16" & 3/8" - SWL 7,100 lbs.
