Unfortunately that is true. The question was asked on IG and Aridus’ owner responded that something with the design of the screws in the Mossberg won’t allow the Aimpoint mounting option. Major bummer because I think I’d really like a 590 with CROM and micro clone.

I prefer the aimpoint micro to the RMR and it seems like Aridus CROM only works with RMR on the Mossberg 590s. At least according to their website.

I don't have any experience with this product, but KE Arms does make an Aimpoint Micro red dot mount for the Mossberg shotguns. Looks very similar to the CROM, minus the rear sight.
