Heh... just multiply by 1hp/.746kw, then 1L/100km is about .43gal/100mi, then invert to get mpg. Easy.

I do like the gas/distance rather than distance/gas as the measure of fuel economy. I find myself doing the "what does it cost for a given trip?" calculation much more often than "how many miles can I go on X gallons?". Plus, that way I can quote my fuel economy in amusing units like acres. (1L/100km = 2.47x10^-12 acre) Or barns. (1L/100km = 100 Exabarns.)

    Just sold my daily driver - a 1996 Toyota 4Runner (SR5, 5 speed, 3.4l v6) with about 225,000 miles on it.

Trying to figure out what to buy in its place now, though I haven't figured out what that'll be yet - probably a Honda Civic though, as my previous car (an Accord) was very reliable, and I finally sold it with 220,000 miles on it!

More fun to drive, is what I'd say.

    Ford,

If you go for an STi, get a 2004-2006 model. Way more faithful to their rally roots than the 2008+ cars. Stay away from the 2007 unless you plan on remapping it, the factory engine program is guaranteed to toast cylinder #4.

I simultaneously wish to make fun of that as nerdy and use it myself...

I'll give metric and milage......2002 Chevy Avalanche 2500 with a 8.1 liter (496 cid) that I drive like a police car-I don't want to know the milage.
Just a Hairy Special Snowflake supply clerk with no field experience, shooting an Asymetric carbine as a Try Hard. Snarky and easily butt hurt. Favorite animal is the Cape Buffalo....likely indicative of a personality disorder.

    Than an EVO X?

I actually REALLY like the new STI's, especially the hatchback.

2013 Honda Accord EX-L V6. Just hit 5k miles on it, and have been averaging about 26.5 MPG on it for the last 3k miles. On freeway trips I've hit ~38 MPG sustained.
