I got in on the deal and have already mostly worn out some of a second set of belts. Probably over 100 knives and other things sharpened so far.

I have the standard version, not the Ken Onion one, and I love that thing. I use it to sharpen my large outdoor knives and axes. For my small EDC knives I use a KME system.

I have one and you should too. Even if you have to pay the regular price to get it. It is that good.

It did a really nice job on a couple of Cold Steel shovels made of a carbon steel.

It was struggling with a giant Pakistani Bowie Knife with an absolute shite edge that a friend had - I think that thing needed a full-size knife-makers belt sander.

Can anyone describe the differences between the regular & Ken Onion edition?

Looking at replacement belts it looks like the regular version uses 1/2" width and the Ken Onion uses 3/4" width. Anything else?

More blade angle/sharpening angles with the Ken Onion edition.

The difference is a little complicated. I was able to learn to sharpen a wide variety of knives usign the K.O. Edition..
