Refinish G43X/48 slide

After watching the NCEngravers video, I'm wondering if refinishing a G43X/G48 slide is particularly challenging.

I may want to refinish my G48 slide in a black color -- is the collective preferring Cerakote Elite or NPVD black these days?

I would go with DLC myself. I have use Club Custom Guns in the past for DLC and they are great to deal with.
