I’m firmly in the Volund Gearworks camp. I tried the Specialist but didn’t like it. Now it just sits in the closet. The cobra buckle on the VGW keeps everything in place when you have to use the restroom unlike the Specialist. I’ve had the VGW for 4 years now and it still looks and feels like new where as the paint on the buckle of the Specialist started flaking off after just a week wearing it. Not a big deal but still a negative.

רוח צה"ל Alpha Sierra, I'M totally fine with my purchase.

I personally don't see a reason why pay double the price for something similar, but I got no problem if someone else does.

I'm in the market for a new belt, and I'm leaning towards a non-velcro option at least to put on and off. I was curious about the Bravo Cinturon but they're out of stock and say it will be "several weeks" before expecting more. I want to like Bravo and have one holster form them, but it's like they can't get out of their own way. Who introduces and promotes a new product then runs out for "several weeks?

I ended up with a Graith Specialist. Been wearing it everywhere and so far nothing to not like. It does make appendix carry with a JMCK wing claw and M&P compact 2.0 noticeably more comfortable than the leather belt i had been using. As always, thanks for all the helpful information. Had i discovered this forum years ago, i would likely not have a drawer full of gear I dont use.

I just went through TSA and they had no problem with me leaving my Graith specialist on (my shoes, on the other hand weren't so lucky) I almost wore a different belt because I am not a fan of removing Velcro (someone somewhere called it the "mating call of submariners") but now that I know the specialist is checkpoint friendly I have another reason to recommend it. individual results may vary
