    Light Positioning

Looking to put a TRL-1 HL in the 12 o’clock position at the end of my rail and moving my flip up sight back. Is there anyone else doing this that can tell me if the flip-up MBUS is still usable.
I currently have a light in the 9 o’clock position but trying to get away from running a tape switch.

I run almost all my rifle lights at 12 o'clock. It's doable.

I use X300's which seem to be lower than the Streamlight. I did find some pics here at arfcom:

That’s exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Ash.

Working in a suburban to rural area, I'm avoiding a pistol designed light and using a more traditionsl one. They're mounted between 9 and 11 o'clock since I'm a left hander.

If you do this with a Surefire X300 series… make sure you check out the Unity Tactical EXO.

Thanks. That is definitely how I’m going to set mine up.

I use an original Mossie Tactical Midnight Mount on this AR

Here, I cheated a little. Instead of mounting a rail to the outside of the handguards, I mounted it to the inside. The light sits much lower
