I'm a Glock Follower. I've been a follower since the early Gen 2 days.

I have some old non drop free Gen 2 mags that have the original followers and work fine. I've replaced springs but all my mags have the original followers.

The advise here makes sense. I'll keep everything original, at least until I experience an issue or find a compelling reason to swap out the 5s for a 6. I still wish I knew why Glock went from the 5 to the 6 (and now, from the 6 to the 7).

I did speak with Glock in GA but they basically said swap them if I want but it's not necessary, and they couldn't offer a reason for the upgrade.
