    He just straightened it afaik.

I'm surprised Smith and Wesson could have fixed that.

At least for a $350 gun I've really just paid for shipping to get it going.

Frank confirmed that a diet of standard .357 158 JSP at 1200fps shouldn't do any harm. Which I asked because I wasn't sure if a yoke problem is chronic.

    What a yoke...
I'm two for two on disappointing S&W in-house experiences.

Me too. I’ve sent my last gun into the factory for fixing; the old guys in the open market will have to do.

The thing that sucks is when components need replacing that aren't readily available outside the factory. Indies are kind of limited then.

Sucks even more when S&W shipped a gun with a key part totally FUBARed by monkey-grade installation, and there are no replacement parts available inside the factory, let alone outside.

S&W's policy change a few years ago of ceasing to have authorized outside warranty centers, or even sell significant spare parts to indy smiths, combined with incompetent in-house repair labor and reliably defective products going out the door of the factory, basically makes using their products no longer viable.

It's likely I've bought my last S&W of any kind; it's possible today that I have more S&Ws than any other brand.
