    Week 306: 2-Second Challenge #4

    Week 306: 2-Second Challenge #4

Results may be posted until March 4th, 2019.

    Designed by: Todd Louis Green
    Range: Varies
Target: 8" circle, IPSC A-zone, or 8.5x11 sheet of paper
Start position: From concealment or a duty/retention holster
    Rounds fired: Varies

This is the last of our "What can you do in two seconds?" challenges.

Set up your target at seven yards. You will draw from either concealment or a duty/retention holster. If your range does not allow you to draw from a holster, begin from the ready position (gun in whatever condition you normally carry it).

    Give yourself a 2-second PAR.

Draw and fire one shot at the target within the PAR time.

If you are successful with all hits in time five times in a row, repeat the test but increase the distance to 10 yards, maintaining the 2-second PAR.

If you are successful with all hits within the PAR five times in a row, repeat the test but increase the distance to 15 yards (keeping the 2s PAR).

As long as you get all hits within PAR five times in a row, keep adding five yards to the distance and try again.

Once you miss or go over PAR, the drill is over.

Please report the following when you post your results in this thread:

    Pistol and holster used
Start position (concealed, duty, or ready).
Farthest distance that you successfully scored all hits within PAR time for five successive attempts
    Anything you noticed

Hi all people! I did this exercise this afternoon. I used duty holster safariland. Pistol Glock 17, Gen4 Original Sights. Start Position Duty at 5 meters. Target, 3x5 inches.
    My results are the following:

1 shot at 2 seconds x 5 times. PASS. All shots were more or less at 1.65 seconds.

2 shots at 2 seconds x 5 times. NO PASS. The first I did at 2.03 seconds (no fails) and second I did at 2.05 seconds, the third, fourth and fifth I did more or less at 1.80 seconds.

Pistol and holster used: Gen 5 Glock 45, Ameriglo Agents - Orange, Blade-Tech DOH
Start position (concealed, duty, or ready): Holstered
Highest number of hits per draw that you successfully scored all hits within PAR time for five successive attempts: 2
    Anything you noticed

This is a new holster for me. I got it with the intent of having a very simple USPSA/IDPA setup I could take to the range and just work on stuff. Since I'm going on my lunch breaks dressed business casual (tucked shirt, slacks) I can just throw this belt on over my other stuff and do work. However, it's lower and more offset than I'm used to. I may take the DOH off and just run the holster straight on Teklok off the belt.

Dropped one at 7 so technically a fail, but I ran another clean one to make up for it.

Dropped my first one at 10, but again wanted to see what I could do, and shot the next 5 clean:

Also dropped one at 15, 4 other runs clean:

Dumped one at 20, 4 other runs clean:

At 25, I couldn't buy a clean run. I only had 4 rounds left in the mag and all 4 were misses. I then remembered I had a mag with 2 rounds left from Saturday in my range bag, so I pulled it out and ran 2 clean runs. One over time, and the last one finally put it all together.
