I have a Lobo Threepersons-style holster for my 4" 629 from back when the original owner was still running things and making holsters. It's a nice piece and well made. The leather is so stiff, it might as well be kydex.

How well does this stay open inside the belt for reholstering? Also, please update us after a year of sweating into it.

Nice! I have the exact same rig and it works great.
Stays open just fine.
I do have to hitch up my pants up higher than I did when carrying in a summer special at 2:00. Otherwise it digs pretty hard into my upper thigh when sitting.
I have to agree, it’s just as ridged as kydex. But it looks better, IMO.
