    I appreciate all the kind words.

    If I refinished the old cobra I would have birdsong apply their black t. But refinishing would remove the cobras character and that’s what connects me to the cobra. Well.... to any old gun.

    However I will try the wax.

    The old cobra will be used. It will not be abused anymore.

    I think it wears the age well in this case. People distress things just to get that look of character. Keep it well!

    1952 Detective Special

    A 1952 vintage DS. Allegedly belonged to an LAPD officer before it fell into my hands. Came with a period correct cross draw holster.

    Those old Colts shoot better for me than J frames. I passed on a Cobra many months back. Wish I hadn’t.

    According to proofhouse.com, this is a 1952 DS. It’s a tack driver, even a 25 yards. Well, at 25 yards, all the rounds stay in an 8” circle shooting SA.
