Never saw Swordfish but the scene in Monsters Ball was, ummm, well let's just say it was motivating.

Am I the only one that thought 2 was just meh?
    3 trailer looks great.

WTactualF with all the handwringing? I don't care if JW3 jumps a shark with frikkin laser beams on its head as long as it's done in a spectacular fashion with good trigger finger discipline. Color me ready to buy as soon as it's streaming.

I didn't think it reached the level of meh.
My fear is that this is another Matrix series where the first was great and the rest were just over the top and disappointing.

What, you mean the scene where she's just sort of matter-of-fact topless in an almost completely non-sexual manner? I give that scene a big "eh, whatever." Sure, she's a beautiful woman and her breasts were bare, but it was just sort of incidental. For that matter, Swordfish as a whole was not particularly good - as per usual with Hollywood, they tried to make hacking/computer programming into something visually glamorous, which is just pure silliness to those who actually know anything at all about it.

LOL at all the "well I hope they really put together a good plot and backstory". It's John Wick. I'm tuning in for the violence and hot assassin chicks.

Nope. I can't quite put my finger on it, but something was lacking in it. Well executed movie in every way, but still... meh.

(Well, I do think the level of 3-gunness was a bit silly at times.)

John Wick 2 almost wound up like this. They cut a LOT of side plots out of the story to get the end result, and the movies better for it. I’m not paying $12.95 to watch Citizen Kane with guns.

Plot? Movie? I thought this was a training series?

I’ve just made a terrible admission in public haven’t I?

Well, John Wick 2 introduced the best music track in the whole series during the 3-gun sequence. I've heard the appropriately titled John Wick Mode played during more than a few hockey games, often during warm ups. The Golden Knights played it at the start of every Stanley Cup game in Vegas.
