Started a new thread, instead of burying this in the Scout thread, because this thing only weighs about 1.5 pounds. Seems like you could drop a light Tikka in, and still have a lightweight rig.

Likes pretty much everything in every caliber.
MDT makes nice stuff....I put a Howa mini action in 6.5 Grendel in a gen 1 LSS.
It's a 20" heavy barrel, but by the time I got it outfitted with buttstock, grip, bipod & optic it's 10# 2 oz.
I call it my black Friday build - it started with a blem LSS & everything else on heavy discounts.
I think the McMillan Hunter edge is suppose to be a similar weight for the stock, but does not have all the features of the MDT.
Just getting away from standard Tikka mags could make this worth it.
Might be a dumb question, but what sort of butt stock are people using for magnums with the chassis? I think of AR-15 butt stocks as being for 5.56 and similar light recoiling calibers.
Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.
