Tinny is fair. However, for shooting Steel Challenge, where you are also listening as confirmation for your visual shot calling, and there is shooting going on in adjacent bays, it is much easier to hear steel hits with the Sordins.

That's interesting. My set deadens everything. It even deadened my Pact timer buzz to where I could barely hear it. I turned them up, I turned them down, no joy. They were actually annoying. I'm going to return them as defective.

I've been using Pro Ear Gold for years and the sound quality is much better in my opinion. I got the MSA Sordins for my wife to try. She has been using a set of molded in the ear electronics for years and decided to try muffs. She chose a different brand.
