Trump exhibits all the signs of a Anti-social Personality Disorder AND a Narcissistic Personality Disorder.

Interesting. That describes Trump perfectly. Now I'm wondering how a guy like Trump could 1) get the GOP to put him on the ticket and 2) get elected. He obviously has some mental issues which has servery limited his ability to make good decisions and keep good people around him. This has been reported by people who have worked for him but for some reason they're reluctant to give a lot of details about it. The office seems to protect him to some degree.

When Reagan was failing that too was covered up in his final months in office. Scary stuff.

He won the nomination as the other candidates were just business as usual, economic elite members. They offered little to the outrage of the primary voter base.

He won the election because of the negative appeal of Hillary and her stupid tactical decisions in the deciding states. He didn't win because he was so hot, it was that she was not.

President Sanders would now be studied for how a Democratic Socialist, Jewish old man won the election. We would regard his win as Donald being the corrupt and nutty guy he still is.

Hillary was the only candidate who could lose to him.

The GOP currently supports him because his base turns out in primaries and they want to keep their plush jobs and pipeline into money and elite status in DC.

Surprise announcement, politicians have little ethics and main goal is election and re-election. There are a few honest purists of various ilk and causes who get in, due to special circumstances in their area. They are not common.

Trying to diagnose from afar is fraught with difficulty. We all have some of those traits. Even if we won’t admit it..... (no I am not fingering you with that statement)

While the mainstream medical practitioners in the USA surely like to place labels and acronyms on their patients diagnoses, often times their solution is then to throw psychotropic drugs at them and we see how that is working out, I for on do not trust everything as gospel from our current medical practitioners. ymmv

And that is exactly why it doesn't matter who the Dem candidate in 2020 is.
Trump will be reelected in a landslide because the opposition has nothing to run on except opposition.
