    Wilson Combat 9-rd 9mm 1911 magazines

For anyone interested, I see Wilson Combat is now offering flush-fit 9-rd 9mm magazines for 1911 pistols:

They are drilled for polymer base pads.

Am I not seeing the little integral feed ramp? Maybe not as much tendency to nose dive with a stack of only nine rounds?

Correct, nosedive affects the top round of a fully loaded 10rd mag much worse-these are more traditional styled mags. Work well for us so far.

I plan to give some of these a try soon.

I've been asking for these for awhile.

I guess someone more important than me wanted 'em too!

Interesting. I have a serious distrust of the 9mm 1911 for defensive use. Maybe a 9round mag could change that. Then again, 15 in the X9 is working flawlessly.

Looks like they are more actively utilizing the Chip Mccormick purchase

Can you elaborate on why you think so? Do you recognize something in the design, or just speculating? It sort of gives me pause because Chip McCormick 10-round magazines have not worked well in my Colts. I realize these are 9-rounders so may perform differently but it makes me wonder.

Well its pretty much a spitting image of the 9rnd one from Chip. Much like their new 45 magazine.
