Jason Mariano (https://www.instagram.com/vintagegunleathertoday/) is serving as Red Nichol's distributor for his new "Old School" holster line that now includes fits for 3rd Gen Smiths (and Beretta 92s, Sig P-series, BHPs, and of course 1911s, but not Glocks). I have a 'Beat the Devil' avenger from Red that is a fucking work of art. The new line is a little more simple, but I have no doubt it is just as amazing. Red's work is, single handedly, the finest leather I've ever seen. Here's a pick from Jason showing a Smith 1076 in Red's new "Indiscreet" scabbard.

All very true. I'm going to shoot it first, then make my ultimate decision. If they work well enough I may just leave them. They aren't cheap sights either.

Do you already have a good supply of mags?

My current tally is eight, once that gets to around an even dozen I'll feel better. For my working guns I normally keep 25-30 mags on hand. However, since these are really just occasional fun guns 12 should do.

Someone on a local board has an unfired 6906 with 11 magazines but no box and is asking $725.

I do not know if that is a reasonable price as I do not keep up with them.

That's a bit high, even with mags.

I also think that's high but it wouldn't totally surprise me if someone bought it for that.

If you calculate it at $400 for the gun+1 mag, and $25-$30 per for the other 10, it’d be $250-$300 for the mags, so $650-$700 total would be absolutely the most it should go for. Right now, anyway.
