I *just* saw that Explorer ST when I logged in to "build and price" an Expedition! Color my curiosity piqued! Interested to see how it stacks up to the $70K Grand Cherokee SRT.

I think this has a lot to do with how many boxes ya click when you Build and Price
I like it at $41, maybe not so much at $51k.

I think they are going to use the 3.5 with the same tune as the Raptor. The Raptor, with those big tires, will turn a 13.7 1/4mi, so...

You’re probably right. This hurts a lot, but other than the garage door button and the remote start, both of which I do use, I don’t currently have any of this...

and here's the opposing point of view which uses a lesser model, and makes some pretty disingenuous leaps and assumptions, which doesn't reflect well on their position

For me, it's a higher level of pride of ownership, a greater level of luxury, and some minor hard-data features that the V90 has over the competition, not least of which is more get-up-and-go with the V90 T6.
Didn't have a great experience with an older, 100k+ miles XC90. Some goofy engineering where the rear diff was going out, which would strand the whole car because it requires both drive lines (even though it uses the front 99% of the time). Even regular maintenance was expensive. Now, that was an old model 5 years ago, but it was a T5 AWD.

Great looking car, great engine, good interior, but the maintenance costs and high mileage reliability switched us to Honda/Toyota.

    I don't see any luxury/european car as a 100k+ car. I'm not even sure I see them as a 50k+ car.

I've got a 2017 Explorer Sport (365hp, 350tq). The new ST is supposed to be using the 3.0TT V6 from the Lincoln line (400HP, 415TQ). If they gear it right, it should beat the previous gen Sport's 0-60 of 5.8-6 seconds.

But the more I thought about it, are we really disappointed by a SUV that does 14.3? Sounds like the Sport version may have been an over achiever.

Saw an Edge ST on the commute in this morning. All I could think was "sucker!"
