    Jet

    A friend’s Model 53:

Even with degreasing out the brass and chambers with lighter fluid, it couldn’t go 3 or 4 rounds without locking up.
If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

    Neat!

Those things are cool. Even if you are patient and shoot enough rounds the forcing cone and back end of the barrel burn out kinda quick. Still a cool gun though for messing around at the range.

That rivals my 10" .223 Contender.

Last I checked, this one was still in the case at my LGS. I took this pic in May 2018. Just in case anyone has a burn to try one, and a stack of Benjamins not doing anything.

If you’re only going to shoot it once, you might as well just get a Contender.

I looked around the Smith forum a bit in the past, I believe there was mixed results with the jets, but most would work OK, at least longer than 3-4 rds. It may be worth searching posts there or asking.

Accompanied a friend to our favorite local shop where he picked up his new 43x, saw this Jet in the case and figured I'd share the info. Glorious trigger pull, btw.
