I used to have the 686 version, and my dad has the 627 version. Pretty cool guns, but they have the lock, of course.

Well, I should have looked it up but the site said it was new. Duh. Do I want that? Expensive for moi.
I picked up a 5" 986 the other month and I've been having a hoot playing with it. I have a bunch of revolvers but it's handy to have one in 9mm given that's what I reload in bulk. I don't know that I'd pay full performance center retail for one, but I'm pleased with my pawn shop find. And it came with 50 clips, a demooning tool and a mooner.
The snubby PC version similar to the snubby PC 686 and 627 ? This one ? If you saw something that looked like this it was the 686 or 627 version. Cabelas had both.
It’s not a Talo edition, S&W just released them.
Plus you just cost me money .

My friend, we can go back and forth on it, but it was absolutely this wood-gripped, 2.5" 9mm revolver. I have held, touched, fondled, and dry fired this exact model and at multiple places. I suppose a call to S&W would clear up when that had been released?
Either way, since you're being so obstinate, I'm glad I made you pick up that .44 Military. Serves your bank account right.
