    The problem with that is they would bring in political appointee chiefs who will say whatever they want. I seem to recall the SFPD chief standing nervously next to Kevin "Ghost Gun" DeLeon as he blathered on about 30 magazine clips that shoot 9 billion rounds per minute and whatnot...

    Street cops aren't the problem.
