While I know that he will not be reporting to BUD/S, the fact that a 47-year old guy with his resume has the humility to take a step in this direction impressed me a little. Moreover, the story behind this decision is that Prebius was moved by meeting the families of fallen warriors during his time in the WH and wanted to give back.
He was commissioned by VP Pence yesterday after receiving a letter of recommendation from SECDEF Mattis.
Finally, I’ve been critical of this guy over the past 2 years and went so far as to make childish cracks at his name. It appears that I was wrong and greatly underestimated the caliber of his character.
