I’m assuming that I need the long grip, round butt. I’m having a heck of a time finding a set, so if anyone can point me in the right direction, and be grateful!
I bought this today, and the Pachmayr grips are WAY large. Shoots great, and has a nice trigger.

Might try the Colt forum, theres quite a it of stuff there. One guy posts quite a bit of holsters and grips for sale in a long ongoing ad, he often has aftermarket grips for many Colt models. He also posts on the smith-wesson forum and it isnt always the exact same lot of parts up.

Eagle Grips makes several nice versions for the longer butt pre-66 gen 1 frames like that. I like their Secret Service version.

I find those grips quickly, but they’re out of stock for 2-3 months. I’m thinking about going with replica originals, or maybe something ivory. I’ve found a few darker colored replica stocks on eBay, so maybe I’ll take that route. I do work with wood, and did consider making a set myself...

I just bought these on eBay:

I thought the pistol had been painted, and knocked the price down because of that. I just found out these were offered in Duo-Tone, just like the guys at the shop insisted. Now I feel bad. I buy a LOT of guns from the shop, so I’ll get over it...lol!

I will second this recommendation, but be sure to specify a speedloader cut, or you will not be able to use a speedloader with those grips.

I'd order a set of Herretts...custom made to your hand and the gun: http://www.herrettstocks.com/revlvrin.htm

I found two sets of grips! The original is probably the best, but I might whittle down the larger set.
