I'm a fan of Scalarworks, GDI, Nightforce, American Rifle Company, American Defense, Spuhr and Geissele mounts. (I don't carry all these brands BTW)
In my experience the GDI, Nightforce, ARC and Spuhr work well with the heavier scopes and all above will work well with LPVO's.
Scalarworks has their 34mm mounts being released soon, so hopefully we have a chance to slap a Kahles, Nightforce or Minox in there to try it out.

Another vote for the Geissele super precision mount. They're just too good to ignore. The engineering quality, centricity and consistency is the best I've experienced. For me it's either Rings, or Super Precision mounts. I've only met one dude that ever used the "QD" option on a mount. Everyone else just keeps whatever they put on their rifle on the gun from what I've seen.

For precision on an AR you should consider a Geissele High Power National Match mount. It has a 3" cantilever so any 30mm scope can be moved forward more than far enough for an extremely aggressive NTCH head position plus puts the center of the scope 1.3" above the rail instead of the usual 1.5"-1.6" that mimics iron sight height.

That lower more forward position allows you to get a more solid cheekweld than normal height scopes and between that and the aggressive NTCH you can get your head is more stable behind the scope. It's all the rage with the High Power guys!
