I am looking at changing the titanium cylinder on a 327 performance center snub for a stainless cylinder. I am getting some other work done, so it would be relatively cheap if I include it.

This change eliminates flame cutting concerns and it adds some mass to soak up recoil without going crazy and killing one of the main draws of the 327 to begin with (its light weight).

My question comes down to this: 23 oz loaded vs 27 oz loaded. Is there a significant difference practically? Both cases (23 vs 27 oz) are heavy enough that you will belt carry (neither is ultra-light), so carry-ability is impacted only slightly. This would take it into SP101 territory. Will an extra 4 oz soak up enough recoil to feel a difference on hot 38 specials or a light 357 (like the GD short barrel)? Just curious what people think.
