Under hard acceleration, the speakers play a V8 soundtrack over what little you hear of the turbocharged 2.7- and 3.5-liter EcoBoost sixes. Added sound deadening means you hear less turbo whoosh than before, too.

On a good audio system it should sound convincing. Tesla should do the same.
Or, pick from a variety of engine sound tracks, including a Ferrari V-12.
I find everything that Ford is building and doing right now as a company to be a real disappointment. This is just another example of that disappointment being manifested.
Gimme an Apollo Saturn 5 soundtrack or nothing!

If I care about the sound my engine makes then I want it to have at least 8 cylinders because reasons.

There's nothing civil about this war.
The BMW M2 puts engine noises on the stereo, and on the one a friend had, it was not possible to disable the effect nor adjust its volume.
My poor-man Hyundai sounds like a luxury car when you're driving like it's a luxury car, but clears its throat and sounds darn good when you get on it (or get it on, either way).
