Perhaps in a NPE with a need for a throw away holster

    Interesting

I made a couple just to see what I came up with. They were okay, but the guns wouldn’t stay put in them. Would need to heat and mould to make it work. Wouldn’t feel bad about tossing one, though. Easier to order kydex.

As the OP, let me add some clarification: This isn't to replace a kydex or quality leather holster for belt carry. In a pocket, I don't really want the holster to retain the gun, because I want it to come out when I need it to. The job of a pocket holster for me is to maintain orientation of the pistol such that it prints minimally and is in desired orientation for draw, in addition to covering the trigger (I also don't keep anything but the pistol in that pocket).

After owning one of the most highly-recommended pocket holsters (the Mika), I simply found it too bulky. The Milkjug is a solution to that problem.

I believe Claude Warner may have posted about milk jug pocket holsters in the past as well. Will try and dig around later to see if I find anything.

If you have something for which a commercial holster is not readily available, being able to improvise can help.
