I also agree; 4"/4"+ for .357, .38 Special +P for anything shorter. And I also prefer .38 Special+P in my 4" Security Six. Best, Jon

    A little snappy?

Yeah. Amazingly so. I don't really mind shooting anything rated +P in my LCR. Some Magnum loads are tolerable too. But the Buffalo Bore sets new levels for recoil. Chrony results show just over 1,300 FPS from my revolver. That's a 140gr bullet from a snub!

That'll teach me to buy the wrong stuff...

Buffalo Bore does offer a 140gr "tactical" load that should be somewhere around 1,100 FPS from the 2" barrel. That's probably actually a saner idea.

It would be interesting if someone made 10mm autorim cases.
If we have to march off into the next world, let us walk there on the bodies of our enemies.

I recently picked up a Ruger LCR 9mm and I was thinking the same thing for 9mm. The short cases extract much more reliably than .38s.

If you're looking for something shorter to extract easier than 38 Special, you can use 38 Short Colt. CAS shooters use it in their 357 SAs.

Hodgdon has reloading data for 93 and 135gr bullets.
